Why Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup can help you streamline your beauty routine and save you time every morning. With this treatment, there’s no worrying about your makeup wearing off throughout the day. Your makeup will look as vibrant and beautiful at 7 p.m. as it did at 7 a.m. Permanent makeup is also an especially great option for active women who are tired of their makeup smearing during exercise, sports, or swimming.
Permanent Makeup FAQ
Is permanent makeup really permanent?
The longevity of permanent makeup is similar to a tattoo. The effects are long-lasting; however, the intensity may fade with time, sun exposure, and certain skin treatments. The degree of permanence varies with each individual but generally lasts for several years.
Where can permanent makeup be used?
We offer permanent makeup for the eyes, eyebrows and lips. We also provide scar camouflaging using permanent makeup and microblading for eyebrows. This is an excellent option after cosmetic surgery.
What is the difference between permanent makeup for eyebrows and microblading?
Both are tattooing techniques used to recreate, define, and fill in thin eyebrows. Permanent makeup is applied with an automatic tattooing instrument, while microblading is performed manually, with a handheld tool that is used to “feather” fine lines into the top layers of the skin in the eyebrow area. Microblading is considered semi-permanent as it fades more quickly than permanent makeup.
Is it painful?
Because permanent makeup uses a small needle to apply pigment to the skin, there is some discomfort associated with the procedure. However, a topical anesthetic may be applied for added comfort. Our permanent cosmetic artist will work in accordance with your pain level to make the procedure as smooth as possible.
How many treatments will I need?
Usually, at least 1 follow-up treatment is suggested to fine-tune the original procedure. Any future touch-up treatments are up to you.

Your Treatment Experience
Our permanent cosmetic artist will meet with you to discuss your goals and go over your color choices. Once you have agreed on the appropriate treatment and color, she will apply a numbing cream to the area before beginning. Then, a pen-like device is used to deposit color into the appropriate location. This sensation is often described as a “sting” and is usually tolerable for most patients. The length of the procedure will depend on how many areas you are treating and can last anywhere from minutes to an hour or more.
Once your procedure is complete, it is normal to have some light swelling, redness or tenderness that may last for a few hours or a couple of days. Mild bruising can also occur and may take a few days to resolve. At first, the color appears very dark. This is normal and the final (lighter) color gradually appears over the next week or so. You will be provided will healing ointments to help protect the area and minimize scabbing.Back to Top
