William H. Huffaker, M.D., F.A.C.S.
William H. Huffaker, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a prominent St. Louis physician who began practicing plastic surgery in 1978. He graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his internship at the University of Alabama Medical Center. Following his first year of general surgery residency at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Dr. Huffaker served in the U.S. Army for two years as an Otolaryngologist at the Fort Bragg Womack Army Hospital. Memorial Hospital, for one year to complete his surgery residency as Chief Resident.
After completing his plastic surgery residency at Washington University Barnes Hospital, he achieved board certification by the American Board of Surgery in 1979 and the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1980. In 1997, Dr. Huffaker and Dr. Bruce White merged their individual practices into the partnership of St. Louis Cosmetic Surgery, Inc. In 1999, they were joined by Dr. Herluf Lund and in 2006 by Dr. Christian Prada.

Dr. Huffaker has served as President of the St. Louis Area Society of Plastic Surgeons, President of the Missouri Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, President of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society, and Vice-President of the Missouri State Medical Association. Dr. Huffaker was Chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the West County Surgery Center from 1994 until its closure in 2006. He is active in several national professional organizations and was a previous Chair of the Judicial Council of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is currently Chair of the PlastyPac Board of Governors, the Pac of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS). He was previously Chair of the Government Affairs Committee of the ASPS. He is a Delegate from the state of Missouri to the American Medical Association, where he is Chair of the Surgical Caucus. He is also chair of the surgical caucus of the American Medical Association.

Dr. Huffaker's primary interest is in cosmetic surgery. He combines the best of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery into the "mommy-make-over" in which he lifts and augments the breasts, tightens the abdomen and suctions the fat at the same time. He performs fast recovery breast augmentation, Next Day Lift (mini-lift), post-weight reduction surgery and bodylifts.
