Breast Augmentation Sizing Does It Really Work?

You may not be aware that we have created our own sizing system to help patients get an idea as to what size they would like to be after surgery. It's not rocket science, but it works! At your pre-op visit prior to surgery we have you put on a bra with different sized inserts that represent implants. This allows you to see what you will look like after surgery. When you try on the bra you will be surprised to see that some sizes can make you look heavier while others make you look thinner. After you pick out the implant size you feel looks best, the doctor will take that size and the size above and under it, to have more flexibility to obtain the results.

Here are some examples:

Patient 1:

Ht: 5'4 
Wt: 118lbs
Age: 25 
Children: 2
Sized at 375cc implants
Implants used: Silicone Style 20 400cc on both sides

Patient 2:

Ht: 5'5
Wt: 147lbs
Age: 25 
Children: 1
Sized at 500cc implants
Implants used: Saline Style 68MP 510cc on both sides, along with a vertical breast lift

Patient 3

Ht: 5'4 
Wt: 138lbs
Age: 33
Children: 1
Sized at 450cc implants
Implants used: Silicone Style 15 421cc on the left and 492cc on the right

Patient 4

Ht: 5'8
Wt: 144lbs
Age: 32
Children: 2
Sized at 450cc implants
Implants used: Silicone Style 10 480cc on the left and 510cc on the right.
She also had a full breast lift. With a breast lift extra skin is removed which decreases volume, so Dr. White went a little larger than what she sized out to make up for the loss of tissue.
